Logan High School baseball Coach Roger Gertz is nicknamed "TheBig Minus" due to his constant worrying. But he was in a differentmood Friday night while heading to Watt Powell Park for the ClassAAA championship game with Jefferson.

"It was a little eerie. I had a good feeling, and I'm normallynot that way," Gertz said.

"The kids were loose. They hit the ball extremely well in battingpractice. They had fun, and it carried over to here. They were readyto play."

It showed, as Logan downed Jefferson, 5-1, for the Wildcats'second consecutive state title. The contest was a rematch of lastyear's AAA final.
